He said he did it so he could travel yet last time I checked, there's no rule saying you can't travel without it. Blind trust and succumbing to perceived pressure these days can lead to a deadly outcome. Only the strong will survive.

International travel is currently a patchwork of testing and vaccine requirements. An unvaxxed coworker of mine had a plan to escape back to his property in Mexico, but he says he can't do that now because Mexico won't let him back in without the clot shot.

Me and my coworkers are joking with him that he should just fly to Guatemala, and walk across saying he's on his way to the Texas border. Problem solved lol

Well, he's relatively lucky. Even though he'll have months of misery and lost training, he only got the annoying pericarditis. Unless he develops myocarditis, that is likely to resolve completely without much long term fall out.

The people who get myocarditis are either dead or going to live with long term disability.
