Is this legal? Can a Pharmacist refuse to fill a prescription?

Absolutely! Yes it is.
They can deny it for many reasons. If they know the strength is incorrect. If it violates manufacturers' directions. If it's not for an approved application.
That's why they're educated and licensed. -
Yes, I had surgery last year and the doctor wrote me a script for pain meds before the surgery. I had a 3 hr drive right after spine surgery.
They wouldn't fill it. I told them to call my spine surgeon and they said they don't fill pain meds. Went to Costco and they filled it.Lions not sheep.

It's "Drug War" insanity. In the 90s the push to stomp out meth labs became big money for law enforcement. We succeeded, we made lots of OT money. Tweakers went to jail. Others filled the void. Meth is now made in mass quantities and cheaper in Mexico. This is part of the reason the borders are fully open.
Around 2010 came to opiate crisis. Foolish people were abusing prescription pills. The result of that was mostly increased laxative sales. It is about impossible to OD yourself to death with Vicodin etc. Harsh restriction were put on pain medications. It would be like restricting KY jelly to stop prostitution. So instead now we have lots of people killing themselves with fentanyl from China. I don't care about them. I do care that I am not allowed to get effective pain medication for legitimate purposes.
Now, you are also not allowed to buy Imodium out of the blister packs. They also make a note and check your ID. Turns out the people trying to get off heroin can use large doses of Imodium to control heroin withdrawal symptoms. We need to stop people from getting free of heroin with OTC diarrhea medicine, it is very important for "your safety".
Today the government encourages lazy pot smokers with decriminalization and dispensaries. Cannabis is a "good drug". The socialists think it is a revenue source. Actually encourages apathy, dependence, and assures democrat-socialist votes. Marijuana is not medicine, it is socialism with a side of Doritos and ice cream.

Right here guys, this is the man. Took care of me within a day, had my meds in tree days via USPS. My insurance covered it all, I didn't even submit it to them and they picked it up.

My doc said he would prescribe ivermectin if you ask for it but there are only two pharmacies that will fill it locally.
My worst day shooting is better than my best day at work.
