Taiwan uses mostly AstraZeneca vaccines. The number of people dead from all vaccines is close to 1200. Meanwhile wuhan virus has killed about 850 in Taiwan.

Taiwan does not use Sinovac. Sinovac is Chicom's vaccine.

What's interesting is the people there view the vaccine as the only way to stay alive. They are tripping over themselves trying to get an appointment to get it. They don't sit down, look at the numbers, and ask why a harmful product is needed for something that's not that deadly.

They have also managed to forget how they survived for the past 1.5 years, before the vaccine, by wearing masks that didn't really worked. I always find the mask logic interesting. It only works when you stand up, but not when you sit down to eat. It only works on classroom desks, but not on restaurant tables.

Actually Taiwan's restaurants (indoor dining) have been closed since the outbreak in May. People are forbidden to eat anywhere indoors except for their own homes. I think they need to wear masks outdoor as well. Students were complaining that wearing a mask for PE class was very uncomfortable.
