I'd go get tested where they do the antigen test.

Daughter and 5yrold Grandson went and got tested because he had a fever and coughing. Both negative for the vid both positive for the antibodies.

OP Hope you get the normal flu like one and not a bad one. It was fairly mild for us but my buddy just wound up in the hospital a couple weeks ago. Hes fine and back at work now. He blacked out and woke up later not knowing what was going on so his wife took him to the hospital. Lack of oxygen I guess. He's also a chain smoker and then some...

Thanks Nick, I don't think anyone is unsure of how I feel about all of this. I think she's probably on the upswing or close to it, tracing back now it looks like at least 9 days ago she had some symptoms.

She's sick(ish) right now in the other room, but you know... eating and stuffing her face with bon bons and watching Honey Boo Boo. We're actually feeling a little guilty we didn't test her sooner because she's been going to work, it just wasn't/isn't that bad for her. Perhaps severity reduced by the vax, who knows right? FWIW she was vax'd back in May/June so about 4 months.

She has a vid call scheduled with her doc tomorrow morning and they'll set up an official test I guess, she'll need that for work purposes. I HATE that it will add to the official "case" count but it is what it is. I'm not sure what test they do.

Me, I'm not feeling 100% and I haven't been for a week or two, but my test was clearly negative. I'll pick up another test later today and try again over the next couple days. My symptoms (if you can even call them that) are so mild I would never second guess it otherwise.

Here's the thing, I start a new job next week. Like a real job, name badge and time clock kinda stuff. My plan is to say nothing if I don't test positive, if I do we'll cross that bridge.

I would never, but her work is going to want an official test result. She called them today, I mean it' pretty irresponsible to ignore it and keep going to work right?

I might be faced with the same thing with the new job if I test positive before Monday, I can't just stroll in there and not tell anybody... I was all prepared for a vax mandate showdown and making them fire me just for the fun of it. I don't NEED the job so I can afford to be a crash test dummy on this issue.

Why would you not test?

I have allergies, I get congestion every time the weather changes. Since there is no fever or other symptoms and I'm a home, why test??

Last year when I was working I tested at a UC. Results came back positive, then negative, then inconclusive all for the same swab.

I agree, Im just saying dont test at a facility unless mandatory. Why give Newscum more ammo. More infection rates = less freedoms.
