You did a good job raising her. Honest and concerned for others.

My daughter is also smarter than me. 👍

Tell your daughter there are people on the Internet that think she's a hero, and to hold fast.

Tiger, that's an awful story to hear about your daughter and astonishing and shameful about what our society has come to. All this talk about human rights and civil rights and accepting others, but the first time a test requiring critical thinking comes, Californians go full on hate & authoritarianism. I would have thought kids would be more blase about this so I'm surprised they so easily join in the hate.

At my job we are fully remote and people just kind of assume everyone else is vaccinated. I've never talked about politics because the office is the typical Bay Area intolerant leftist place. I have told my bosses, and thankfully they are adult about it. I met one in person for the first time after a year and a half, and we bare-face hugged each other and it felt wonderful to have a supportive boss like that.

People intolerant of the vaccinated are of a nasty, authoritarian bent I've noticed. I have a vaccinated friend now avoiding that kind of person in general, and avoiding vaccination-required parties. He has one female friend who used to join in group hikes with him & others, and he was getting sick of her hateful Facebook posts, so he was thinking of telling her he was unvaccinated after she posted that she would unfriend people like that, just because he is tired of her attitude.

Ostracized? Had that happen to me once. Damn thing kicked me right through the fence. Hurt like a mutha, left a good bruise.
