Rapid Covid Test to go to Hospital

For the unvaxxed. What's your plan to get into a hospital should a loved one of yours get into an accident and the hospital will only let in vaxxed people or proof of a negative covid test?

Is there a good rapid Covid test that can be done to satisfy these requirements?

Buddy of mine got two tests OTC in NorCal a couple of weeks ago… confirmed that he had the sniffles. Not sure if they’re ‘acceptable’ or not, but seemed to be effective.

If so, I want refund on insurance premiums.

Walgreens at-home test is $10 and contains two test sticks. Spit on it, it shows a little line much like a pregnancy test. CVS probably carries the same item.

I was finally able to visit my Mom in a Skilled Nursing Facility after 16 months of no visitors. They didn't care if you were vaccinated or not and required an on the spot test. I swabbed my nostril, handed the Q-tip back to the receptionist, waited ~ 5minutes and was then told go in and see my Mom as my test was negative. There was no cost to me.

Walgreens at-home test is $10 and contains two test sticks. Spit on it, it shows a little line much like a pregnancy test. CVS probably carries the same item.

Rapid daliva pvr test clinics. It is as accurate (inaccurate) as the deep nasal swab pcr. The clinics have an onsite lab and takes 30 minutes. Is accepted as a pcr test. Look them up

Its nothing different then what went on from 03/20 - 03/21. You couldn't visit your relatives in the Hospital during that time. Many a father missed the birth of there child.

Im referring to you as a visitor. Say your wife has an emergency. I think they wouldn't allow you to visit without Vax proof or neg covid test. That's what spawned my question.

Are you aware of 24x7 clinics? Say we get into a wreck at 2am. Wife goes to hospital. Im trying to figure out how long delay before I can get in. If hospital known to provide than I think I'm covered. If I have to go find a clinic that could be problematic depending where we are. I figured others have thought about this already.

I think I'll carry one of these kits around. Sounds like the best option for now.

Well, for quite some time you would never be allowed to ‘go in’…. My friend who died while admitted (over 30 days hospitalized) did so by himself… never was able to see his spouse once hospitalized.

Tragic times we are living in.
