AB 455 California vaccine mandate
Last night the CA state legislature did a gut and ammend on a bay area transportation bill, and replaced it with a defacto state wide vaccine mandate for entering businesses and hiring. Contact your state representative to tell them to vote no on AB 455.
I framed my message around blacks and hispanics have low vaccination, so this is a racist bill which locks them out of jobs in favor of whites and asians. But there's lots of angles you can take in your message. But whatever, tell them to vote no on AB 455. -

Looking through the bill text, I haven't seen any religious exemption. There is a medical exemption. Anyone not vaxed has to do weekly testing. There's also an exemption for 100% remote employees, so silicon valley will be fine but if you work with your hands in person you're ****ed.
It also looks like if you can't manage a medical exemption, or can't work remotely, you may have to be fired.Last edited by stix213; 08-26-2021, 1:47 PM.Comment
