I like how the article blames regular people who dared to travel from their tiny country.

What they leave out is international travel generally requires vaccination, so these would be the vaccinated responsible for importing the delta variant.

No, your number is off. "50% of the hospitalized were vaccinated" is different from "50% of the vaccinated were hospitalized." There could be 200 people hospitalized and 100 were vaccinated. That's still "50% of the hospitalized were vaccinated."

There are 9.3 million people in Israel (I didn't know there are that many people in Israel). Assuming 60% of that are fully vaccinated, that makes 5.6 million. There can't be 2.8 million hospitalized by this disease. That would destroy the country.
