Even twice as likely isn't actually all that bad considering. If I had been infected, I'd probably delay getting vaccinated for the time being unless I needed to travel and wanted to avoid the destination countries quarantine.

Maybe people who catch the wuhan virus the first time are more susceptible to this virus, no matter what they do. Some people might never catch this virus during their life times. Some people don't get the flu. Some people get the flu every other year. Such is the diversity of the human race. Why are we trying to eliminate this diversity?

What that is really saying is that someone who got the jab(s) is only half as likely to get infected (vaccine breakthrough) compared to someone who has naturally acquired immunity from a prior cv19 and getting re-infected.

Given the supposed effectiveness of the vaccines, natural immunity does not seem all that bad.

I've also seen studies that say someone with natural immunity + 1 shot has better immunity than someone with 2 shots. So you could say that natural immunity is similar or somewhat better then the advertised effectiveness of a single does of mRNA vaccines.
