No. And that study big Mike posted has been discussed at length, they did find a very small but measurable reduction, something less than 2% over serveral months.

Problem is that during the time this study was done most of the places with mask mandates like California had the highest rates of infection.

That's what makes this study Mike posted bad science IMHO, to justify mask wearing they had to overlook the massive orders of magnitude increases in infection in mask areas as well as places with no masks where infection was lower.

I have the graphs from amy old post, I'll repost at some point.

The simple fact is that when the count of infections raced past 300k, 400k, 500k last year the mask study proves that they number of infections still would have raced past those numbers and perhaps a tiny bit less quickly, proving the masks in mandate areas did little to slow the spread.

The CDC needed this 'science' to convince the weak minded to submit to their psychology conditioning.
