    2. At what cost?
    3. What hard evidence do you have?

It sounds like they figured out all the vaxed people are too afraid to travel anywhere, and its the unvaccinated who are already done enough with this BS to even consider booking a week long cruise months in advance.

But they have no idea how to get those people's money while still appearing to be super pro-vax.

So I was booked for a Sept 19 Seattle to Alaska 7 day. The group I was escorting was 22 rooms, 51 people, and this announcement came out about 1 pm PST yesterday and 7 rooms have cancelled!

I will not be saddened by the death of their industry. Good riddance to tyrants.

I got talked into a cruise once, never again. Trapped on a boat with morons, with nothing to do but gamble, eat, and wait for the next opportunity to escape the floating prison.

Entire family, 14 people, had a 21 day cruise scheduled for 11/21 Cruise line waffled on requirements, maybe none, maybe tests, maybe vac, maybe bla bla they wouldn't give a solid answer.

              We cancelled the trip

It sounds like they are making it up as they go along, just like everyone else. Trying to survive and maybe turn a profit in these strange times. I actually enjoy cruises, but not with a swab up my nose every four days, plus before and after. I think the buffets are gone now too.

Cruise ships? They still have those things?

Scheduled on Celebrity in March out of FL. Will check restrictions in December and cancel if any of this stuff is required.

They'll be out of business soon as liberal states and international registries will have OCD COVID measures in place until kingdom come. No swimming, no saunas, no buffet, no shows, masks.. They're done.

Thats the way I see it too. I've been nagged to go on them but never did. I have no interest being stuck on a boat with idiots and nothing that I like to do. The only one I ever considered (for about 5 seconds) was that heavy metal one but as much as I like metal I think I would get a headache and STDs.

Been on literally dozens of cruises. Its been a great side gig and truth is I've missed it a lot since the advent of covid (November 19 was my last). My gig was to be a concierge for groups booked through a single travel agency. About the only "tough" part of the job is arguing with the cruise ship concierge about the benefits due the customers. Its a very easy gig. I usually pay to upgrade my room from the basic to a balcony and it hasn't cost that much in the past - the costs are much much higher right now.

I had a 2nd one booked for December and they just altered the itinerary in Hawaii - it appears one of the islands is no longer going to let ships in.
