Gap is mandating the jab for all employees

    Hey all,

I heard through the grapevine that Gap (the clothing company) is going to mandate the vax for all 100,000 of their employees, or at least any of them that enter any of the company-owned buildings.

I am waiting for one of the big companies I contract with to require it.

Does that apply to the sweatshop employees as well?

        I am as well.

With the alleged Federal Government mandate, I expect the Feds to mandate it for all their vendors and contractors, as well as downstream companies that are vendors, suppliers or subcontractors for the companies holding Federal contracts.

It seems like it will only apply to the office workers and not the store employees.

An Update to Our Vaccine Approach
            by Gap Inc.

To: All Gap Inc. HQ and UF employees
From: Sonia Syngal, CEO – Gap Inc.

Bay Area, New York, and Albuquerque Hubs – Vaccination Requirement

Starting September 7, any employee who enters our office buildings must show proof of vaccination. Even if your job does not ordinarily require you to work on-site, if you need to come into the office after Labor Day, you will still need to provide proof of full vaccination before attending mandated meetings or trainings in person unless a reasonable accommodation is approved.

Now I know these vaccine makers can't be sued and the government probably is also made sure the governmental machine can't be sued but what's the legal view on if an employee makes you inject a substance into your body for employment?
If there are any, even small, effects on your health because they required you to inject a substance into your body for employment I think they might be liable.

And I'm pretty sure a Jury could be convinced those big companies are liable IF they forced you into something that was experimental just to work with them.

Gap Inc. put out this press release a few months back. Don't see anything more recently that addresses COVID or COVID vaccines on their website.
Gap Inc. Kicks-Off COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics at U.S. Customer Experience Centers (formerly known as Distribution Centers!)

                by Gap Inc.

                April 27, 2021

Earlier this year, Gap Inc. joined the White House’s call to action to do our part to help end COVID-19. As a result, we have continued to prioritize the health and safety of our customers, teams and communities by sending 3.5 million masks and face coverings to non-profit community organizations and forming a COVID-19 Vaccination Task Force to establish our company’s vaccine approach, rooted in advocacy, information and education.

And just last week, we rolled out the first of our on-site vaccination clinics at our Customer Experience Centers (formerly known as distribution centers) in Fresno, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Groveport, OH; and Gallatin, TN. Clinics will continue into May and expand to our Fishkill, NY campus. All vaccines were administered by licensed health care providers and employees were permitted to receive their shot while on the clock.

While Gap Inc. is not requiring employee vaccinations, we believe there is still an important role for us to play within the communities we serve and throughout the industry at large. As such, we’re also offering up to two hours of PTO to each hourly part-time Store employee in the U.S. for each dose of the vaccine they receive—or as otherwise required by the law of the jurisdiction, whichever is greater.

And, even as some parts of the world begin to recover from the global pandemic, our HR teams and Vaccine Task Force continue to closely monitor and assess COVID case trends in all the communities where we live and work to ensure we’re providing support. To address the record-breaking COVID surge in India, where we have almost 1,000 Gap Inc. employees, we have set up tools and resources so team members can take full advantage of medical insurance, especially if diagnosed with COVID-19 and being treated at home. We’re also providing additional sick leave to all impacted employees and regularly checking in with managers to ensure employees receive the necessary support.

To help raise internal awareness around COVID-19 vaccines, Gap Inc. recently hosted a handful of physician-led webinars to provide science-based information on how the COVID-19 vaccine works—enabling employees to make the decision that is best for them.

                Gap Foundation Donations

On a broader scale, Gap Foundation has donated $150,000 to the United Nations Solidarity Response Fund to support the World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners in the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Gap Foundation is also one of the founding partners and investors in the Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains, which aims to raise at least $10 million in pooled funding over the next three years to support locally driven solutions to crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was the reasoning Centene Corporation gave to its employees this week when they announced they will require employees to be vaccinated or submit to routine testing.

They implemented lockdowns to take down small businesses.

Now they are forcing the jab to take down large businesses.

Wait for it: "guidelines" to incorporate into large companies' sucession plans to replace all employees who received the experimental jab.

I work in a federal building and am a federal employee. We have been given the ultimatum of get the jab or undergo regular testing. The e-mail we got is pretty vague and mentions "once or twice" a week, but does a poor job at defining what "regular" is. Our security staff are civilians sub-contracted through Federal Protective Services. FPS offered our guards the same ultimatum, but the civilian company that actually employs them and has the final say has told our guards "Get the jab or hit the bricks, your call. Oh, and good luck getting another job in this business."

Once again we see how authoritarian government doesn't need to worry about the constitution when they can enlist their corporate partners to impose unconstitutional mandates for them.
