The agency is expected to make the recommendation public later in the day, the New York Times reported, in what will be a reversal of the guidelines issued in May that said fully inoculated individuals could stop wearing masks and no longer needed to socially distance.

The theory behind the mask is that it is source control; the potential carrier is supposed to wear the mask.

The vaccination does not eliminate the ability to contract COVID, but reduces the symptoms. Since the have admitted since day one that those who are vaccinated can contract and carry the disease that means they are spreading the disease as well.

Since the idea of the mask is to limit the infected person's ability to spread the disease, there is just as much of a reason for the vaccinated to wear a mask as the unvaccinated.
