Initially, anyone who had COVID at the time of their death was counted in the death toll, in accordance with state definitions.

Now the county is only counting those in which COVID was listed as part of the cause of death on the death certificate, which focuses more on the determinations made by the medical examiner.

I'll bet they could reduce it even further. Anyone who was sick/obese/elderly and caught covid didn't die from covid - they died from being sick/obese/elderly.

I'm guessing we only have 10% actual "covid" deaths. And CDC data backs this up: (thread ignored by our local virologists because the raw data is impossible to whitewash)
