What's your PERSONAL experience with you and your family getting sick?

Just curious to see how many people have truly been affected by all this. I know of 2 of my moms friends that were probably in their 60s or 70s that died from C19. I know a LOT of people that have got it and just had a normal sickness from it. So without claiming media this and that I just want to hear personal experiences that's it. Fire away...

BTW, this country is so divided on the idea of what is true so this posts intent is to shine light on what really is going on and hopefully unite everyone. California is pretty diverse on being liberal and conservative especially in the gun community so this is a good forum to hear different points of view.

I might have had it but tested negative after being sick a few days. Sever headache and lethargic for 7 days. No one else in my household or extended family got sick at all. I am a multi unit restaurant director in restaurants every day. 3 nurses in the extended family and my wife and daughter both worked in home health for the elderly. None of us are vaccinated.

Thank you. To add to my experience my whole family thinks we might have had it but got it a year ago when c19 was spreading so fast in the beginning and testing wasn't available. The only person who got it bad was my mother who always gets the flu bad every year. I'll get the same flu she got but only get a cough from it. When I was living with my parents years ago anyways. She said the symptoms came on 1 at a time which was pretty weird and she was really sick but ended up fine after all of it.

I got it right before Christmas. I was around my wife and kids before I got tested. They didn't get it. Mid 40's kids 10 and 7. I lost smell and taste. Quarantined in our MIL quarters in my house for 10 days. Also the back yard and garage. It was fun! Drank a ton of beer and made a beer Can Christmas tree next to my bed.

Only lasting effect. Cans of Tuna, Bleach, hair gell/spray and farts all smell the same. Weird.

Sorry but that last sentence made me laugh, can I ask what they all smell like?

Two of my most fat unhealthy siblings and their spouses were sick earlier this year. All tested positive for covid. All had minor symptoms. No lasting issues. Age ranges 58 to 65.

Our family has hundreds of people within the cousin, first cousin range. Almost no one has been sick at all.

That said. My wife had an unhealthy sister die while living in Mexico. Details are sketchy. But according to her kids, she took all precautions before she got sick. Yay Mexico.

My family got it in mid of Feb. My mother in law passed away due to complications. My wify had diarrhea, lost taste/smell. Brother in law asymptomatic. I had fever for 5 days, one day was level of yellow fever (I would not call number, I do not want to accused of lying), but lasted only 15 minutes. After that recovery started, never lost smell or taste, but smell was sort of modified-I smell hand sanitizer like sweet slcohol. Both wify and I were back to Negative in 10 days. Recently we did antibody test-wify got IgG s/c index 4.13, mine came out, even dr which called me with result was verrrry surprised to see 9.82. This is highest index anybody see. 1.4 is minimum for positive, 10 is max on scale. They sort of jock that I am walking vaccine.

No one except my very frail elderly aunt got sick.

Aunt has lifelong problems and was in an elder care facility and got covid and recovered but died a month later. Was expecting her to pass for the last 3 years.

I'm 60 and I had really achy joints, no fever, no energy about 4 days. Wife 57, had mild fever, severe body aches and headache for several days and no energy. My son had a mild headache for two days. His daughter 5 yrs old threw up once felt better next day.

To be honest I had a head cold this last week that was worse for a day or two than the covid, but with the head cold the energy came back quicker.

94 year old MIL was hosptitalized for 3 days 6 months ago with low O2, not too sick. Recovered quickly and is fine now.
