Pfizer study, less than 1% better than unvaccinated?

So out of the 22,000 of the vaccinated, 8 tested positive for covid vs the 162 in the placebo group of 22,000. Which means the vaccine reduced the the risk of infection by .7%. Am I missing something here?

The relative risk reduction is more meaningful. You are 20 times more likely to get it if unvaccinated vs vaccinated.

That being said, this virus has only infected 9-13% (depending on locale) of the population with a 99.7 survival rate (much higher for under 70 yrs old), so that is less than 30 per 100,000 people. Seems safer than walking the streets of Chicago at night during the summer.
The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.

Throwing some bodies to chip away at that .3 %.

Not missing anything OP. Taking an aspirin would likely help as much as the faux vaccine.

            Better still:
            - Plenty of fresh air and sunshine
            - If you body cannot produce vitamin D, eat extra (those with darker complexion, per the CDC)
            - Maintain healthy lifestyle
            - Don't wear a mask
            - Don't hang out near sick people
            - Don't poke your eyes
            - Wash your hands

Dig in and find the n= values. What type of test was used?

As mshill stated, the efficacy of the vaccine is measured on a relative basis, not on an absolute basis.

What exactly was in the placebo? Do not assume saline. There was a "study" performed where the placebo was the menengitis vax.
