That's some Hunger Games level tyranny.

I'd bet $1 million that in a few years the big media story will be about some long term potentially deadly side effect which is affecting millions of people who got the vaccine, and how in hind sight it was a mistake for anyone not in a high risk group to have rushed into getting it.

So no, I'm not getting it, my 3 year old is not getting it. I've told my wife she shouldn't get it and neither should my step son, but I'm leaving that decision to her.

I wouldn't get it even if they were handing out $1 million checks with every dose.

Clearly. I was going off the (wrong) lyrics on one of the lyric websites. I did the thing apparently...
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy!

No vaccine for me. I'm banking upon the overall survival rate of 99.8%.

Then again, I already survived COVID-19.

Free beer offer results in more vaccinations than all Erie County

Saturday was the first day that Erie County worked with a local microbrewery to host its Shot and a Chaser program, offering individuals who got their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at Resurgence Brewing Company a free pint glass and coupon for the vaccinated person's drink of choice.

"We're going to do more people today at our first-dose clinics than most of our first-dose clinics in the last week combined," Poloncarz said. "It's been a success. We figured it would be pretty good, but now we're seeing the results."

That's not a very high bar, given that many of the county's first-dose clinics have had less than two dozen people show up. At one site, only one person showed up, Poloncarz said. Comparatively, more than 100 people had been vaccinated at Resurgence by mid-afternoon, including some walk-ups and restaurant patrons who decided to get the vaccine at the spur of the moment.

As with most other aspects of the entire "COVID" issue, actual "facts" are hard to come by.

Estimates now are running around "150 million" vaccinated and as many as "100 million" unvaccinated. (I'll assume those estimates don't include children under a certain age.) In other words, loosely stated, it's about as divided as the electorate; though not necessarily strictly along Party lines. Though there has been the suggestion that The partisan divide in coronavirus vaccinations is widening...

Thus, mandating the vaccines, at least via Government edict, ain't gonna be popular. Getting employers to mandate them is, as of the moment, legally divisive in that there are arguments both ways.

But, that's the very reason persuasion is still being used; including so-called 'incentives.' Unfortunately, as we're seeing from the responses by members to just this poll, such persuasion isn't very persuasive in that the 'facts,' as proffered by both sides, are more subjective than objective in that they rely on inference as much, if not more than, empiricism in many/most cases.
