If your arm hurt and you felt that pain. Imagine... or not, what is happening inside your body that you are unaware of - just because you cant feel it.

Thinking out loud, what you call the "pain" was the same as tossing the ball hard for the dog longer than I should have...no big deal at all.

Wife felt just a little down and tested positive in December to mid-January. She moved to an upstairs bedroom, I stayed down in the master. Neither of us wore masks. I was tested in February, result was negative.

You can trial-patient and I'd say go for it. If you had chicken pox, pass on the 2 shingles shots and report how much fun you're having. Did mom and dad have you inoculated for polio, tetanus, whooping cough, etc? Ever fly out of the country and see what's required?

Honest question though, since CJD and Kuru take decades to manifest, how exactly would you know if this is an issue or not?

Since RCT is the gold standard but the vaccines only been around 6 months, how is this falsifiable?

How would I know what, exactly, is falsifiable? That some mysterious mechanism would lead to prion disease, just 'cuz someone dreamed it up? By that logic, there's also no proof the vaccines don't lead to Alzheimer's or rheumatoid arthritis or any long-onset condition you could name.

This is a misplaced burden of proof. Since there is absolutely no credible mechanism for an mRNA vaccine to interact with chromosomal DNA at all, there is nothing to evaluate. You need to propose a hypothesis before it can be tested, and so far all we have is wild speculation, falling well short of an actual proposal.

Lastly if, as the data shows,
1. Vaccines are effective for older folks
2. Susceptibility to the disease is substantially lower for folks under 50, and especially children
3. Most folks > 65 have been vaccinated
4. Infection rates are down
5. Death rates are down
6. Florida and Texas have not had adverse outcomes since opening
7. PCR tests r bunk (CDC now saying limit to 28 cycles)
8. (Non n95) Mask wearing has not been shown via gold standard RCT to work
9. 5778 variants existed in June 2020 (so new variants have existed for months).
10. Why do folks who already contracted and recovered, need a vaccine?

Then why do we still have lockdowns, mask wearing, restrictions on gatherings, closed schools, mask wearing for children, etc if we intend to 'follow the science'?

That last is a policy question, not a science question. I'm not responsible for those decisions. If you follow my posts you'll know I opposed some of those measures from day one.

Regarding your #10, the reason is that just like the vaccine itself is not 100%, natural immunity after recovery is not 100%. Vaccination has proven effective in treating "long COVID" and is likely to be effective in protecting the small segment of the population who experienced severe symptoms after a second infection. The numbers game is not as clear-cut as vaccination vs. no immunity, however, but we are likely to learn more about this as well as time goes on.

...and I just keep on observing the various side effects of the various vaccines have on the human test subjects (general population). Pfizer was the one to get a few months ago, wasn't it?! Statistically more people die from the vaccines than the who actually contract the disease! Definitely sitting this one out as I have done from ALL flu and other vaccines since 1997. Healthier for it, than those who take them. There is poison in the cool aide folks!

I had a short conversation with a doctor who was intimately involved with the development of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. I have known him over a decade and even though he is a self proclaimed liberal, he has earned my respect. He’s more of a social liberal but a 2A supporter both in principle and in practice.

To the point, he is 100% certain of the safety and efficacy of mrna vaccines, too certain. By too certain, I’ve had many conversations over the years with him on various topics in which we disagree. The discussions are very civil and he has NEVER talked down to me even though he is an extremely accomplished researcher and physician. There was no room for discussion on this one, the safety and efficacy of the mrna vaccines was practically settled science and that raised a huge red flag for me with this gentleman. It could be that he was just in a rush and didn’t have time to discuss it at the time. I’ll will see him next week and perhaps we will discuss it further.

Wife and I had our 2nd Pfizer shots a week ago. Both of us had a bit or soreness in the left arm the next morning. Nothing Tylenol couldn't fix and next day no soreness.
