Is frightening. Research it yourself. This COVID bull$h!t is not that big of a deal when put into perspective. You can't truly live until you no longer fear death. Bring on all the hate. Living in fear of a virus with over a 99% chance of survival is asinine and cowardly. Now airborne ebola, or Marburg variant U, those are things to fear.

I saw the documentary, terrifying!
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain..."
Roy Batty -
And yet we survived bubonic plague without any cure for it in the middle ages. With 30%+ deaths of ALL ages. We survived TB.

People are too damn afraid of illness and death. Yes, they are inevitable, but that's part of life.Let us not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless when facing them. - Rabindranath Tagore

I wouldn't worry too much about Ebola and Marburg virus. We don't have them here. People also don't really fear covid. They take precautions against it. Would you call me a coward for getting childhood vaccinations, washing my hands or covering my mouth when I sneeze? What about asking my coworkers to stay home when they're sick.
Im not going to share a drink with you or eat off your plate either? Is it out of fear ot just common sense?
This isn't about fear. It's common sense and preventing the spread of disease, is nothing new.Last edited by SoCal326; 04-27-2021, 8:15 PM.Comment

The massive overreaction was not common sense, or sensical. You should have been taking precautions before 2020, it's called good hygiene. Adding trillions to our debt liability, exercising gross abuses of executive power, shutting down businesses, spreading fear, and ruining lives and livelihoods are not "taking precautions".I wouldn't worry too much about Ebola and Marburg virus. I'm not worried about filoviridae, because I don't share blood or play in poop. I was pointing out what an actual deadly virus looked like. Did you know that Russia aerosolized Marburg Variant U and has them in warheads? Fun facts.Comment

I read that book. Scary stuff, but it kills the host too fast to mutate and if it did mutate it would most likely be to a less lethal strain since that's how biology of viruses work. Super lethal stuff dies off with the host until it can spread without killing the host so fast.Is frightening. Research it yourself. I wholeheartedly agree. That's why Zika has never triggered a global pandemic. I also find it ironic that those in positions of power are trying to scare people regarding the variants or "mutants" as being more deadly. The biology of viruses dictates that the less lethal variants spread better because it specifically doesn't kill the host. Unless we're admitting that this is a weaponized variant, then we can reassess.I read that book.
