Oxygen generator

My brothers buddy is working in Jamaica and has covid. No oxygen available. Will an oxygen generator supply enough. I found the on Amazon.

O2 Concentrators are available with a prescription (normally required) but those are the ones I used to deliver when I worked for a home health company so not sure about today's requirements.

They ones I looked at on Amazon vary quite a bit so unsure there. A normal O2 Concentrator would supply supplemental O2, just be careful which one you decide on. Also be sure which ever one you do decide on there are humidifers and filters that normally go along with them. The humidifier is more critical on a higher LPM flow than many need but many people used them even at 2LPM.

Also the cannulas for delivery of the O2 can vary by preference as well.

Medical grade o2 Concentrators will produce about 5-10ltr per minute. I couldn't find any specs on the output of the ones on amazon but I doubt they match up.

It might help but it may not be enough. I work for a company that sells used medical equipment.

The Devices are not going to physically hurt someone...


If pure O2 was the answer, the US would have built a ton of hyperbaric chambers for treatment...

Respirators were the "Answer" until we had them and then we realized they were not magic...




The answer might be getting them to more care if needed.

Can they relocate to a better place with more available medical care?
