Not sure I trust this guy, he testified before congress that masks are as effective as a vaccine.

But Redfield said he believes the bug was circulating as early as September or October of that year.

TBH I think you are right, he was speaking in reference to the info that the flu vacc is about 30% effective each year and then applying that to the idea that the filtration studies showing 30% equated to 30% protection from the virus. It does not.

Liars, professional ones, usually incorporate elements of truth into their lies to more effectively sell them, especially to the skeptical. It's easier to fragment and distract and divert when there's truth in the lie.
My opinion, there's more. They had help, from us, microbiologists and germ experts and their Chinese associates right inside this republic. Wuhan may have been where things got away from them but the work is far broader than that. Maybe in 50 years we'll know the truth, if ever....

The odds have been overwhelming from the beginning that this was a lab escape. What % of the Earth's population lives near bats, vs what % of the Earth's percentage lives with in the city with the pre-eminent virology institute studying coronaviruses, where was found the first known patient?

That's 709 to 1 against it NOT being a lab escape.

It is a known fact, and documented in tech journals that the particular scientist working in the Wuhan lab was working on how to convert animal virus to jump to humans, in the name of trying to understand the process post SARS. It is also an open accepted rumor that low level techs in Chinese lab will steal experimental animals to sell in the wet market for side cash instead of incinerate them.
