@greenpea PMd me with the following. I see that you don't have any public posts yet. Let today be your first. Welcome aboard.

You're correct, Masks don't block individual viral particles. The particles travel in water droplets we expel when talking, coughing, whatever. Mask holds those droplets preventing my spit, filled with virus, from flying through the air into your mouth. I wear a mask because it protects you from me.

Surgeons wear masks to protect the patient from anything that might come out of the surgons mouth. Same idea.

Fauci made it clear. We NEEDED this vaccine and we need it FAST to save LIVES, so we gave big pharma liability waivers. It would have been criminal NOT to.

Some vaccinated people won't get infected or sick and won't spread the disease. Others will end up asymptomatic carriers which is why they recommend masks until more people are vaccinated.

Fetal cells were used during development but not in the product.

They're continuing to develop vaccines in case this isn't enough, so they're taking precautions to get ahead of any shortfalls.

This all seems pretty reasonable to me.
It's not at all surprising to me that an interview where someone asks questions of Fauci that NO 'reporter' has asked is met with derision and attempts to explain it away as 'normal'.

Simple fact is these are important questions about herd immunity and asymptomatic spread and NO major media outlet has bothered to ask these very questions. Instead as Fauci makes half a dozen media appearances a day people like you fawn over him as if a deity or super genius while ignoring all of the things he has gotten wrong or changed his opinion on WITHOUT any science behind it.

Show me the studies that prove 6 feet of social distance stop the spread of this viral contagion. Not some stupid university research on particle travel, but real science that asks the question 'does 6 feet of separation stop or slow the spread' and then uses volunteers like the DANMASK study and testing/tracing to determine if people are less likely to contract this virus. You can't because it doesn't exist. Nor does a study showing 3 feet is adequate.

So you two continue to worship at the altar of Dr. Fauci and I'll continue to be skeptical of someone who makes unscientific prognostications and flip flops constantly for political purposes and seek real science and not the tribal bullshet Fauci spews.

Oh, so Nobel prize winning scientist who created one of the greatest scientific breakthroughs of the 20th century is inferior to a lifelong bureaucrat whose biggest claim to fame is that he is the highest paid bureaucrat in the US govt at over 400k per year. Got it.

NO NO. You did FAR more than provide a link without opinion. Your exact quote was "This is how Fauci and friends spread HIV thru African Polio vaccines and Hepatitis vaccines commonly taken by 1970s & 80's gays in America & Europe. Not by a monkey bite/screw, nor a promiscuous flight attendant. Both vaccines were cultivated in sheep or monkey tissue and sourced thru an Austrian pharmaceutical of which name escapes me right now. HIV hit all those regions like incubation clock work from their vaccine campaigns time frames. We are still giving Smallpox blankets to the natives. Tuskegee experiment cautious. Conservatives know it and "blacks" no it. Hence the propaganda drive toward middle-aged/elder whites and minorities. The statistics show that we are hesitant. [emphasis added]

THAT is opinion and asserting the original article as fact. You ignored the wording of the article wherein it said that they THEORIZED that the origins of AIDS MIGHT have been a contaminated vaccine. Then you ignored the next several articles on the same page you linked which clearly and unequivocally disproved the original theory. Then you followed up with Q-anon level assertions that "conservatives" and "blacks" "no"[sic] it to be true.

I am all for civil discourse and even a spirited debate (unlike many hereabouts), but since we coined the term FUD and decry its spreading by others about guns and gun laws, we NEED to do better. Cal.Guns is awash in conspiracy theories and FUD on a great many topics. We really need to do better.

I don't mean to be unduly critical of you Mr. Preacher, and if I come off as such I apologize. For our own good and the good of the board we have to do better than all of these wild-eyed conspiracy theories.

              The take away?

              1. Don't blindly believe conspiracy theories or strongly unusual re-tellings of commonly accepted history. Both are usually wrong and most often a lazy shorthand way of explaining often complicated issues.
              2. If you post (or re-post) a video like the start of this thread - watch it ALL and make sure it says what you THINK it says or conveys.
              3. If you post a link - read it. Read it all. Think about if it supports your argument or not.

You're confusing the comments from 2 different people. That quote was from ShotgunPreacher, not me. I was the one that posted the article. Perhaps he holds a specific view on the subject but I do not so I'm not gonna be debating it here.

But hey, I agree we need to keep crazy conspiracy theories in check.
