That 'underreporting' story didn't change the total number; they simply sought to downplay the seriousness in nursing homes (which was stupid). But the full numbers didn't change because of this.

This is like arguing with a child. I've said OVER AND OVER..... there is no way to know what the true numbers are.... they've been hopelessly manipulated from the get-go. There is ample evidence to back this up, and has been provided again and again ad nauseam. I'll not do your research for you.

The numbers that the government reports IS REFLECTIVE of what comes out of hospitals. The government isn't materially making things up, nor are they overstating the final tally by an appreciable amount. Everything that LA County has reported has been backed up by the numbers available to me at my job, and there's a ton of people here who see the same thing at their jobs.

In order for your point to be valid, in order for your idea to have any shred of existing in reality, literally every level of employee in our health system needs to be involved. The doctors need to fake the death certificates, the nurses need to stay mum about the fact that their units aren't flooded with Covid patients, the administration needs to stay quiet about the actual numbers, bureaucrats need to publish the false numbers, and the politicians need to capitalize on it.

Do you truly not understand how many people need to be involved in order for your theory to be true? There is no way to fudge these numbers enough to make a material difference in the underlying seriousness without the involvement of literally millions of health care workers.

Hell, even Fauci lied about the use of masks early on, claiming they don't work to keep the public from buying them. That is the point I am making. I already made my point as to the numbers being inflated for political and economic reasons.
