Mandatory quarantine?

Not sure the reasons why however was made aware at work that if we have one more individual test positive we would have to close for 14 days and do a mandatory quarantine. Boss blowing smoke or legit? Alameda county.

The company can enact their own policies. They can tell you to quarantine or get fired I suppose.

The school district I work at only quarantines close extended contact. Being in the same classroom/lunchroom or playground doesn't qualify for quarantine..
Quarantine is 7-10 days.

If your work quarantines then cool you get to stay at home, but that wouldn't stop me from going out and doing things I need to get done, whatever those things might be. Worst case scenario: your boss runs into you at the supermarket, so now what is he going to do, say he saw you there and admit he broke quarantine? M.A.D. FTW.

I'm amazed at how few people know the CDC changed the quarantine guidelines after the election to 7 days with a negative test and 10 days with no symptoms.
