"It's absurd that they would even put that on there," Bock said, according to 4CBS Denver. "Would you want to go to a county that has really high death numbers? Would you want to go visit that county because they're contagious? You know, I might get it, and I could die if all of a sudden one county has a high death count. We don't have it, and we don't need those numbers inflated."
COVID19 is a major illness. It isn't unlikely that this underlying condition could contribute to the GSW victims being unable to recover, for example. Furthermore, there will always be unusual cases in at the margin of every framework. That's why there is always a margin of error. How many COVID19 deaths were immediately preceded by gunshot wounds? Major car accident trauma? Anvils being dropped on heads? I'd wager a very, very small percentage of that 337,000+ death count. The rules are there for a reason; we want accurate large scale data, and accept that there may be some outliers.
