Oregon governor accused of threatening to take the children away from owner who refused to shutter her business:

An Oregon salon owner who opened her business in defiance of the state's lockdown orders accused Gov. Kate Brown of "retaliating" against her family in a $100,000 lawsuit, which details the damages she sustained due to extended closures and exorbitant fines issued against her.


Glamour Salon owner Lindsey Graham reopened her salon in May and received a fine of $14,000 from the state. Graham claimed that Brown began to personally "terrorize" her family, and threatened to place her children under the care of Child Protective Services to "intimidate" her into closing her salon doors.

Yeah, running a business in the county or city of the prog mothership in OR has its risks. Marion and Salem are prog central, just not as violent as Portland. It doesn't get better unless going east or south beyond Eugene. Still, the state jackboots can create problems even if the local officials and sheriff are friendly.

IDK, OR in general is pretty rough and ready and it's a NFA state so there are lots of war weapons here, currently friendly and peaceful. That can change overnight. The thing is, once it starts it won't end until having a salon is a footnote in history. That world will be over, as will enriching the legal system to extract some relief from a turnip. Colossal waste of time and resources and they suck one dry and use it to beat one down. It's happening everywhere now, not just random reports by people labeled 'wackos' by the jackboots in suits.
