        AT CAPACITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh wait 2018 flu season. Nevermind.

Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Hospitals across the United States are scrambling to treat a mass influx of flu patients.

They have asked staff to work overtime and some have set up triage tents and canceled elective surgeries to handle the flood of patients.

"We are pretty much at capacity, and the volume is certainly different from previous flu seasons," Dr. Alfred Tallia, professor and chair of family medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, N.J., told Time. "I've been in practice for 30 years, and it's been a good 15 or 20 years since I've seen a flu-related illness scenario like we've had this year."

"It's just like 2017-2018 flu season" is misinformation.

2017-2018 was worst flu since 1976. even so, using LA County's major hospitals, the average ICU census days were less than 65%. Number on left is ICU patient days utilized, the number on right is licensed ICU bed days for that year:
Right now, as of the 24th, there were 30 ICU beds available out of ~2550 ICU beds in the county.

Maybe they'll actually use it this time, for flu patients.

The media and the democrats and the CCP sock puppets that come here have to insist this is the worst disaster ever in order for the sheep to see what a tremendous leader Dementia Joe is, he said it's going to be dark and dismal and even though he lied to the nation about his son being under federal investigation, they must 'prove' him right about our dismal dark future as this pandemic rages in democrat states and Republican states are largely unaffected by overflowing hospitals and restaurant and business closures.

Capacity is always relative to available beds.
Sample of the direction California and the Nation is going.
                  More people less hospitals.
Update needed but think the trend will continue.

                    Thanks for that.
That's a pretty big fact to know.

No, they learned that its not suited for pandemics since the spacing is to tight and Hospitals prefer to expand space requirements into parking areas etc...

I think they will ask for more staffing and supply's from military

The revolution was fought during the worst smallpox outbreak to date with something like a 30% fatality rate.

We should be ashamed of ourselves. The Founders would be.

All good pieces to the puzzle of our challenges yet to come. Looking at our society's choices and our irrational hubris of being "on top" of the food chain we ignore that physical forces super cede biological evolution which steamroll social evolution...
