The swab has to be dipped in a buffer solution prior to being placed on the test strip. The antibody on the test strip responds to PH level. Hence, any acidic fluid would trigger a false positive in a rapid COVID test if it were not dipped in a buffer solution first.

The only thing that concerns me is the fact that CC is hyperglycemic (39g/12oz).The swab has to be dipped in a buffer solution prior to being placed on the test strip. But really you don't know how they tested, dipped, or whatever else... In fact nobody does when they get their brain poked and wait biting their nails off in fear as to what results might come. I've read of unused tests coming back positive, as well as various fruits and vegetables. So in reality, even if the test are 100% accurate what difference does it make to the end user if they aren't being processed correctly? A wrong answer is a wrong answer...The swab has to be dipped in a buffer solution prior to being placed on the test strip. The antibody on the test strip responds to PH level.
