I got the COVID

Pretty sure wife and I have it.

My wife has had symptoms since Saturday (headache, body aches, nausea for one day, fever one day, tired) and lost her sense of smell yesterday. Mine started Sunday but i never had nausea or fever, just achy and tired. I'm 60 and my wife is 57. Test results come back tomorrow.

My wife was sick just before Thanksgiving and she said she was much sicker before when she tested negative. Ive been pretty miserable all week but I have been able to work remotely through it and even got out into the garage to assemble my workbench.

It sucks but I've had headcolds worse than this.

All that based on one test? And you trust a test when the organizations behind said test benefit from high positive rates?

I'd get a second opinion from somewhere other than a test center that operates like a drive thru fast food place.

I know someone who got a positive test and then got multiple negative tests and negative antibody tests...all in about 4 days.

I have heard many other stories of false positives.

Lots of false positive and false negatives too. Elan Musk got two positives and two negatives all in a 24 hour period. I wouldn't trust just one test.

Tested negative then got symptoms and tested positive. Headache is the worst so far. And fatigue is pretty bad. Cant drink enough water to stay hydrated. Im 4 days in.
On the other hand my mother in law was hospitalized and also my Father.

Symptoms came on yesterday, and the wife had me drive down to my closest COVID drive-thru test center. Just got the results back and I'm positive. I'm in disbelief that this is what people are freaking out about.

The most notable symptom was a bad headache (not quite migraine, but close). I work remotely for the time being in tech and join video conferences with yuppies throughout the day, so I didn't think much of the headache... until I popped a few Ibuprofen and looked in the mirror -- my eyes were stoner red. I don't usually get red eyes from headaches, and I had secondary minor symptoms like bubble guts happening, so I drove down to get tested and wha-lah. I'm now a statistic.

This all happened yesterday. Today, I feel as I did three days ago -- 100%. My body totally kicked Wuflu's butt overnight in my sleep. I'm 30 years old.

I'm not sure how we're convincing people to shut everything down over this bug. At most, for me, it felt like a 1-day stomach flu coming on, and I kicked it in my sleep.

I'm with you on the vax and overreaction, but the Rona is real and it is a be-atch. I'm on day 5 and not really feeling better at all. Its very frustrating to feel so crappy for so long. it's really tough staying hydrated and wanting to eat. I think I have lost at least 8 lbs and I haven't been under 165 for 20 years let alone below 160.

I'm with you. I have been much sicker than this before it always seems like over time you can always tell that your body is making progress. Not so with this.
