With fewer than 1% of the infected dying, the school should back off.
Nurses can not diagnose. They can restrict entry until a Physician or certified practitioner pronounces the best practice value analyzed data meets or does not meet the criteria.
New values are: guilty until proven otherwise, yet still suspected of guilt.

It's not quite that simple, although the findings are indeed encouraging. The way in which a school reopens, and the procedures/policies in place, will have a lot to do with the degree to which schools contribute to spreading the virus.
When that article was written (early Oct) Utah was looked at as an example of how schools & colleges reopened without a major impact on cases. Since then, however, the picture has been less rosy. That doesn't mean that schools are to blame, but it does make it difficult to say argue that it has had no impact. Graph is of hospitalizations only.

The Covid BS piles up so fast you need wings to stay above it.

The whole Covid cases is a worthless number. If you test positive, they tell you to stay home and to seek care only if you can't breathe. Why do people even get tested unless they have actual Covid symptoms?

I only look at the hospitalization numbers. Those are the only ones that mean anything. Case numbers are pretty worthless unless you are CNN trying to get people to watch.

I was at work a couple months back, I had been feeling pretty weak and fatigued for a couple days and would get short of breath getting in and out of the truck, had a bit of irritation in the chest and a once in a while cough, single cough now and then. Half way through my shift I got on the radio and told the office I was calling it a day and going to go home sick. They had a place near me that was doing free covid tests. I mentioned to the manager who I had to call in sick to that i do not think I have covid or anything but since I was taking a sick day off was going to drop by and do the covid test just for the hell of it. As soon as I mentioned that they then Insisted I go get the test and report back. They transferred me to someone else at the company and I was told that as soon as I got the results I had to contact them right away with the results. They said I have to take mandatory time off from work. 10 days from the first day of symptoms, This is regardless of your test results, even if you test negative you still have to stay out for the full 10 days from first symptoms, but also weird, they said even if I test POSITIVE I can come back to work after 10 days from first symptoms, I guess they consider this enough time for you to be not infectious. I had felt first symptoms 3 days prior so they counted my half day as one sick day and added 6 more that I had to stay home. But they did not take any of my regular sick days, it goes to some pandemic emergency leave. So basically I did not have covid but still got a full week "PAID" vacation from work and did not lose a single one of my available regular sick days. I got full pay for each day I was out. So worked out pretty well for me.

One of the guys at work had his kid go to the school nurse 3 or 4 times now with a sore throat and sniffles (allergies) and each time he and his kid had to get tested to prove they didn't have it. He told the kid if they go to the nurse one more time they are grounded.
