The mask thing has become a religion. People are wearing them all the time and for no reason. I took a walk in a Monterey County, CA park yesterday. All but two walkers were wearing masks. The trails was 10' wide. Mind you, masks are not mandated. Virtually all of them wore their masks and took a wide berth to avoid coming close to others.

I am really disappointed that so many individuals have decide that they must wear a useless mask to avoid a pathogen they imagine is in the air, and staking them. A pathogen, that would not be any significant health threat to them, as younger fit people, in the first place. They seem to be most interested in virtue signaling? Can anyone really be so stupid as to believe wearing a mask alone outdoors has any value???

Or even worse they are trying to please authority figures? That explanation is really scary. People that unquestioningly doing what they are told by the authorities has been responsible for horrible atrocities . Masks are of course not an atrocity, but people being so easily manipulated is proof they they are ripe to do the bidding of a despot.

People are stupid herd animals and this is more proof.

Gym owners and other small businesses have already taken a big hit from the shut downs.

No doubt staying open and restoring members amid all the confusion is the goal. Play by the rules or stay home and write your governor a complaint.

I should have added that I choose not to patronize small business that enforce mask regulations. I now mostly avoid big chain stores that insist on masks.

I have not participated in any events that require masks since this started. I am a member of several shooting clubs. Those events are all outdoors and socially distanced. Masks are still required, the county insists. One club official was told by a county bureaucrat that they would love to shut them down and would if they found any violations.

I was a prominent member of these clubs. The clubs have many friends of mine and I do not want to put them on the spot. So, I refuse to attend until the mask foolishness is over. I would not show up and refuse to wear a mask, that is an attack on the sponsor of the event. At this point, it appears I will not attend any shooting events until I relocate to Idaho. If everybody pushed back we might have a chance.

These shooting clubs have a tiny fraction of the pre-covid attendance. IF it continues they will disappear. This is part of an obvious agenda.

It is obvious now that many people are suffering from germaphobia. The mandates are encouraging mental illness.

Not only shooting clubs but many fitness centers, gymnastics centers, swim centers, restaurants, clubs, bars, etc.

We opened last month and are at about 25% pre-covid numbers. Our projections are 40% to 50% in January if things start opening up - many sheeple are still afraid to return. That's a hard nut to swallow after being shut down for 6 months.
