Flu cases drop 95% compared to last year

Flu & Covid have virtually the same symptoms. It seems our healthcare staff really can't tell the difference... but when someone puts a wad of hundreds on the table it's probably easy to check the C19 box.

COVID-19 is caused by a coronavirus and the flu is caused by an influenza virus. These are two similar but distinct types of viruses that can be easily differentiated in a lab. But new data from the CDC may point to the flu being misdiagnosed as COVID-19, resulting in higher coronavirus numbers but much lower flu numbers. In fact, there has been a 95% decrease in flu cases during current weeks 40-41.

This time last year, there were 1251 flu cases reported to the CDC during weeks 40-41. This is about average. But in 2020, we’re seeing a record low number of 61 total flu cases reported in the same time period. It doesn’t take a medical degree to come to the logical conclusion that the flu didn’t suddenly disappear but that it’s simply being misdiagnosed as COVID-19.

Covid worth more money to hospitals than the flu.

According to the reporting guidelines, if the person died of an illness that had symptoms suggestive of covid, it get coded as covid. This most flu deaths get coded as covid.

Influenza A & B have an R0 of about 1.3. COVID19 has an R0 of, well, weird. A lot of times it is barely over 1... but then, every so often, there are events where the R0 goes crazy high, as our recent Rose Garden fiasco demonstrated.

It's not surprising that influenza has been massively curtailed as a result of COVID19 mitigations, as shoddy as they are in the USA. That COVID19 is able to keep infecting ~60,000 a day in the US is a testament to its unusually high degree of infectiousness (and the aforementioned shoddiness of our countermeasures.

POTUS described himself once as a "wartime president". That is what it really needs to be - a serious response, mobilizing our resources and our collective will to fight. Instead, the "we're all inevitably going to get it / herd immunity" strategy currently being popularized is essentially a surrender.

CDC's weekly mortality numbers show this year having less deaths than in 2018, just under the same time as 2019.

About 2.8 million people die each year in the US from all causes, but for some reason this year we are not seeing a higher death rate from Wuflu than past years.

Almost seems like those who died would have died anyway based on statistics.

Logic would seem to dictate that if this were the crisis we are told is it, death toll would be above last year and other prior years, yet it's not. Very odd that.

What I'm seeing from the CDC isn't that at all. Would you care to share where you got that from?

That is very misleading from the CDC. If you take the average deaths from 2015-2019 as the estimate for 2020, they are expecting 2020 to have LESS deaths than 2019, even though we have +millions population increase per year to account for. # of deaths increases every year.

Very good explanation of this misleading use of averages here:

I would love to share that info, but in the age of tyrannical censorship we live in much gets memory holed 1984 style, it becomes impossible to find again due to Googles search algo manipulation.

Of course you'll give me the benefit of the doubt here I'm sure considering you have seen many of my posts with large volumes of data to back up any premise I present.

Thanks for this, I think you have stumbled upon evidence that shows how much the annual rate of death increased as a result of Obamacare.

Weird how it stays flat from 2000 to 2010, then starts a pretty big uptick during the Obamacare years.

Could either be CDC manipulation to make a case for universal heath care, or could be actually measuring the shortcomings of Obamacare, hard to know which with the CDC doing so much manipulation of data for political purposes.

no one died from the flu because there was money to cover wuflu treatment so all patients had the wuflu

If they’re just looking at a 2 week period year-over-year, it seems entirely possible that the flu numbers are down because it’s not cold yet. Maybe it was a lot colder earlier last year and people got the flu. Seems plausible.

Indeed. It's really too early to tell.

But I'll bet we'll see a record low Flu season this winter:
                              - The masks will help with this
                              - The Covid Cash will convert many Flu cases into Covid
                              - Not as many people out & about
