I can see you're quite proud of your internet sleuthing abilities, in spite of being wrong. I'm sure Q regards your unique set of skills quite highly.

The vaccine development project under OWS has indeed been making strong headway (at least from available evidence, which is very limited given that these companies understandably don't want to share what they don't have to).

My perspective here is very limited, though, mainly because
1) there isn't much to discuss regarding the government's role, which seems to consist mostly of printing tons of money and handing giant sacks to each of the candidate companies - Moderna, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Novavax, Regeneron, et al. About $12 billion dollars all told, fronting the cost for vaccines/treatments that may or may not work. $12B is a drop in the total COVID19 bucket, so I'd say it's money well spent. But there's no real policy or action going on here, just handing out large checks.

2) there's absolutely nothing that most citizens are able to do within this effort, because it's all completely out of our hands. unless one is willing to sign up for a vaccine trial, or be a human challenge candidate, all we can do is watch from the sidelines.

My criticism of this administration's COVID19 response has little to do OWS. One doesn't let the general contractor off the hook for collapsing the building because the painter did a fantastic job. Mobilization of PPE production, establishment of no-cost quarantine facilities for recovery (especially for SNF/NF residents), and a coherent/comprehensive plan with tiered iterative response triggers - these have been sorely needed since the beginning and continues to be absent.

That might make a difference if we were dealing with a deadly disease.

As it is, this flu-like cousin of the common cold doesn't warrant any response at all beyond a momentary ticker-tape mention on the evening news. Everyone who famously caught the bug in the WH West Wing has recovered. Melania took vitamins, ate fruit & veggies and walked the dog. That's all it takes.
