Don't worry it will be over in November overnight.... Just like how it stopped for a month during the riots.Comment

The flu can have lasting effects as well.
A protein in influenza virus that helps it multiply also damages lung epithelial cells, causing fluid buildup in the lungs, according to new research. The researchers say the recent outbreak of H1N1 influenza and the rapid spread of this strain across the world highlight both the need to better understand how the virus damages the lungs and the urgency to find new treatments. Influenza is a contagious disease leading to about 36,000 human deaths and 200,000 hospitalizations every year in the United States alone.
The influenza viruses are some of the most important human pathogens, causing substantial seasonal and pandemic morbidity and mortality. In humans, infection of the lower respiratory tract of can result in flooding of the alveolar compartment, development of acute respiratory distress syndrome and d …

I tend to agree with you. But I think it will be a few months, perhaps Jan-Feb-Mar. They have to keep up some appearances that it still matters. But after a little time, some “...miraculous marvel of modern science...” will have wiped it out.
Then the liberals can move on to the next manufactured crisis of “orange man bad”.

Oh, and they will blame any and all money spent in a crisis that turned out to be “...just another flu...” on President Trump to bolster their own shortcomings where spending money frivolously and fattening up their own pork belly projects is concerned.Last edited by SonofWWIIDI; 08-14-2020, 11:40 PM.Sorry, not sorry.

Some people die from the flu. That's a lasting effect.
It has lasting effects. Oh no. Lets shut down the world forever because we are scared.Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty.

But in the glass half full sense of Covid after you get it you have 3 months of immunity to getting it again.
I will stand for truth even if I stand alone.

Like all things, it depends. My brother got it beginning of July. Headache for a week, the lost smell/taste thing. No lasting effects now. He's super fit and exercises/runs constantly. Was back at 100% in a couple weeks.
Personally I never bought the immunity thing at all. You don't get immune from catching the flu either. If they do make a vaccine, it won't be like polio and wipe it out, my guess it'll be needed regularly just like the flu too.Comment

It will only be "needed" by those who are afraid or people who have to for their job. I've never had a flu shot and never will. Same with a covid vaccine.Like all things, it depends. I had lasting effects from a bad marriage - far worse than any flu. Friends and family that saw what was allowed done to me have lasting effects too. Why hasn't the Government put serious measures into place to prevent bad marriages and control slime lawyers? When will I start seeing gov paid TV adds for Dont' stick your D in Crazy ?Comment

I got H1N1 10 years ago at age 45. I was mostly immobile for three weeks. I lost 25#. I did not feel 100% for months.
The Chinese virus seems less nasty for most people. Yes, it is worse for some older ones. The average age of covid death is 78 YO. This is the same as the average lifespan in the US.
If someone is fearful they should stay home. Demanding the rest of us give up our freedom for the few is un-American. It is obvious now that the situation is being exploited for political purposes.Last edited by Scota4570; 08-15-2020, 2:19 PM.Comment
