The death of Kevin Baynes, Jr. will be added to the list of pediatric deaths the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracks. So far, the CDC has reported 37 pediatric flu deaths in the U.S., almost double the 20 counted last year at this time.

I am not saying Covid is less or more deadly than the flu, but there are plenty of stories on the web clearly showing pediatric deaths from the flu before Covid came along.

Unfortunately, what wasn't reported:
1. How long was the child sick?
2. What was the condition of the child when the mother brought him in?

Let's say the mother was poorly educated and thought it was just a cold. Then symptoms progressed rapidly and to the point where the child was in bad shape. This is when the mother brought the child in.

I'm not saying this is what happened, but it would make sense.
