Pre-existing conditions trend up with age which is why the higher mortality in older age brackets. General weakened immune system from age is typical. What if covid-19 infection was concurrent with another run of the mill flu or cold strain.

BMI is 32, but no comorbid conditions. Working from home and desk job for the last 12 months haven't been kind to my beltline.

You left out probably the largest one of all, and that is age.

Asthma appears to not be a huge factor, but blood type is significant.

Add a poll for blood types because thats been proven beyond a doubt that O blood type folks are 25% less at risk to develop severe disease and if they do they are 25% less likely to develop blood clots. This is with most diseases, not just Covid19.

Blood type A and B are the most at risk and should be the folks sheltering in place and not out working and trying to be a hero.

But we all know the real problem is the under 39 age group. Memorial Day, 4th of July and the riots and protesting with these 39 and under group are the folks that have gotten us back to where we are now with covid19. Sad but true and I wont debate what we know at all. They simply dont give a crap and they think because they are young that they wont get it and its not until they die or are seriously ill will they understand the extent of this virus. Like I said many times before, you must respect this virus like HIV and Ebola. If you dont, well you see whats happening in American now. Enough said.

So it has been a few days and we are at 16 members with PECs and 9 without. That's just our small little sample here, and from an earlier poll that I did we can (very loosely) guess that perhaps half of our population is not elderly (over 65). Which means that, regardless of age, a very high percentage of this community has PECs. Totally junky science, I know, but it still kind of makes one reconsider the whole "herd immunity" approach. I'd hate to say goodbye to 2/3rds of our neighbors here.

The numbers are inline with 60% of the US adult population having some form of a chronic condition.
