Canadian boat is subsidized by the Canadian government. U.S. boat has to survive on revenue and has no subsidies.

I don't really know that, I just made it up. But the point I'm making is that neither the pictures, nor the "news" story, tell the whole story.

Not sure what Due-nothing expects the WH to do about it. Health codes are a State issue. Should the Feds create a Federal "Pandemic Police Unit" (PPU for short)?

Strong and polarizing statements by vendors would seem to be unwise at best.

While half of your (potential?) clients may agree with your views, rest assured that the other half does not.

Publicly offending/alienating a large portion of your potential client base seems to be somewhere between brave and ill advised...

absolutely true. However, we've had millennia and untold generations to adapt to these pathogens. natural selection, evolution, adaptation, even social selection - not to mention the pathogen's own evolution over time - have greatly blunted the impact of most of these. This is why the european diseases were able to wreak such havoc on the native american peoples; they hadn't had generations to adapt to european pathogens. add to that, the unique properties of this virus which makes it much more difficult of an adversary than we typically face.

In time - and after many deaths - humans will adapt to this virus, too. but by then, you and I and likely our children will be long dead.
