why are there so many symptoms? no matter what medical condition you are experiencing, it can be said that you are experiencing COVID symptoms because the list of covid symptoms covers EVERYTHING a living human can experience.

Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea

I've had all but 2 of those symptoms. Should be getting my results in a few days.

Hospitals. In the beginning of the scamdemic hoax anyone who had any symptoms of covid would be presumed to have covid without testing to confirm. Covid = more money for the hospital.

It's another conspiracy theorist talking point trying to explain that the massive rise in cases combined with rise in the test positivity rate is caused by something other than the obvious explanation an actual rise in cases. Actual facts have an unfortunate way of not concording with a good conspiracy theorist narrative.

A confirmed case is someone who received a positive test for COVID-19 using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. Those are the tests involving a nasal swab that the CDC, Ohio Department of Health and most hospitals have been using. They've been in short supply.

Now, there are new tests for COVID-19. One is serological testing – sometimes called antibody tests or blood tests – that determines whether someone had COVID-19 and has since recovered.

3,700 cases out of the 60,000 cases in Ohio are probable cases. "Inflating" the total by 6%.

An actual health department applying the actual CDC definition to actual data resulted in a massive 6% inflation in cases, not someone giving their opinion on what they think the definition will do.

There are things we've been studying for decades and have little knowledge of. Do you seriously think that this could pop up out of nowhere and everyone would have an immediate handle on it?

Do you really think the medical establishment has had enough time to do all of the good research studies necessary to get a total, locked down handle on this?

There is some data, but everyone is rushing around like mad trying to contain this. It will be at least a DECADE, in my estimation, before we have a total understanding of this, after all of the research has been done.

Early in my career, I used to do several physical science experiments every week. Everything we had was tightly controlled. Air temps were controlled to +/- 1 deg C, humidity levels were controlled, dust levels were controlled, temps in process chambers were controlled to +/- 1 deg C. All of our materials were ultra pure. Gases and materials were pure to 99.9995% purity. I can't tell you how many times we were 100% sure that an experiment was going to turn out one way, and then it turned out in a new, weird way. We then had to figure out what happened.

Now take biological research data: You have subjects from infants to geriatrics, males vs females, non-pregnant females to pregnant females, people with poor health, people with great health, poor people to rich people, people in freezing climates to people in stifling climates, people with parasites to people without parasites, smokers of all types vs non-smokers, people of different races, etc. etc. etc.

The amount of variables are staggering and not well controlled at all. To think that in 5-6 months we would know exactly everything about this disease is patently ridiculous. Are some people trying to take advantage of the situation? Absolutely, but it does not negate what is happening. Put your tin foil hats away. You're just making yourselves look silly.

Well said. As for taking advantage, I'd be much more suspicious of those peddling conspiracy theories than some kind of global soros-gates-clinton cabal.
