    Cross-reactive SARS-CoV-2 T-cell epitopes revealed preexisting T-cell responses in 81

81% of those who contracted it show some immunity.

Cross-reactive SARS-CoV-2 T-cell epitopes revealed preexisting T-cell responses in 81% of unexposed individuals, and validation of similarity to common cold human coronaviruses provided a functional basis for postulated heterologous immunity
The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic calls for the rapid development of diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic approaches. CD4+ and CD8+ T cell-mediated immunity is central for control of and protection from viral infections[1-3]. A prerequisite to characterize T...

It's a glimmer of hope - that's all it is for now, because "some" doesn't mean a whole lot. But I'll definitely take it.

It is for this same reason, though, that I believe the decision to cease bat coronavirus studies in China was a really bad one. If there's humans with immunity to coronaviruses, it's very likely going to be in those villages where people live in close proximity to bats all the time. There's already a lot of research done on this. We know for sure that these villagers have been infected many many times by bats and other animals, because the blood evidence is there.

Generations of evolution, adaptation, and inherited immunity mean that there are likely things that we can borrow from nature and use. But, well, China evil and coronavirus dangerous, so that's been put an end to.

Sounds like a great news to me! Well - great for regular people. Bad for Dr Fauci, the vaccine companie$, the lefties, commies, bureacrats, 'experts', computer modelers.

Regarding the bolded part, you realize all these endless closures and mask mandates are going to guarantee we never have any acquired or inherited immunity to anything? We'll all be soft, pale and vulnerable. Our immune systems work best if they have something to fight.

Yes, it's very much true that if we do absolutely nothing, and just let it run its course, most likely we will develop some kind of immunity. In the survivors. Over the span of generations.

Polio is a good example of this. Scourge of nations, that virus. Humans did eventually develop adaptations - but not in the form of complete immunity, the way you would get from a good vaccine. Instead, humans just didn't die from it very much. Little kids got hammered, maimed for life, but most people survived. And that was it.

Evolution doesn't have a direction, or provide benefits necessarily. It just means that the genes of people who are rendered incapable of reproducing by the virus die out.

For example, then, it is entirely possible that if you simply do nothing and let the virus run, the life expectancy of humans will just be lowered by 5-15 years. People will still be having sex and making kids. Getting the COVID will just be a commonplace thing, kind of like polio. and it will just hang around with us.

It’s not getting much play in the main stream media - simply because it provides hope - and as we all know, hope is not an option in an election year.
