    Oh you mean all the people they laid off while we were making room in the hospital because the hospital bottoms lines were tanking?

          Yeah... too bad the protesters didn't think about black lives matter... you know, pretty poor social distancing display here right? Maybe half wearing masks or varying degrees of ridiculousness, everyone crowded together breathing and yelling on each other, how irresponsible this is, wow. Tragic, since covid-19 is a racist disease and kills blacks more than whites... unlike cops that actually kill whites at twice the rate of blacks per crime committed.

          Pity, black lives didn't seem to matter one smidgen here eh?

          Probably the most blatant display of irresponsible CV19 behavior I have seen. Wow.

            The Arizona governor was on the news earlier. These numbers are approximate, just from my recollection. They have about 1200 covid cases in ICU. They currently have 7200 ICU beds available.

            He attributed the "spike" of cases as mostly about a massive testing program of antibody tests. See my other posts on the difference between antibody positives vs. actually being sick (nasal swabs) .

            It needs to be remembered that data from nature is not a smooth bell shaped curve. There is a saw tooth pattern when you zoom in to the larger curve.

            I call "fake news" on this story about Arizona being over run by covid.

              That is great news!! Does that mean some of the doctors and nurses who were furloughed might get back up to full-time status?

                Banner is full of chit and so is AZ Family.

                Hospitalizations have been going down for two weeks though numbers have been going up.

                The nooze has been beating the drum of AZ/TX/FL cases going up. Wonder why that is?

                "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. 88% of the ICU is full per their own metrics, 1495 beds filled out of 1700 of those 611 are COVID-19 in ICU.

                  And they split out their test reporting between PCR and Serology. The spike in cases is not because of antibody. Anybody who actually looks at the data would know this.

                  Hospital beds being utilized due to COVID-19 have tripled since Memorial Day (ICU a bit less than doubled) that ain't increased testing catching more cases.

                    Hospitalizations are skyrocketing. Quote a source, mine is the Arizona Department of Health Services.

                        So you pull a picture of a protest in the UK as irresponsible behavior. Would it be that hard to get one of the city in question.

                        That said, you have been in this sub forum saying how it is a nothing burger.

                        Well which is it.. it is a nothing burger to you.. then protesting shouldn't matter or it is a significant public health issue and the protesters shouldn't be protesting because of it. Can't have it both ways.

                            Uh no. The point is that for the last 4 months, we have had hysterical media and political figures telling us that we must practice social distancing at all costs, we must isolate and stay at home, we must wear masks and use hand sanitizer, etc. People were arrested for going to work, the beach, surfing, hiking etc.

                            People who wanted to go back to work were called selfish, self centered jerks who didn't care about their fellow citizens.

                            When the domestic terrorists hit the streets, the media and Dem politicians looked the other way. Social distancing at all costs became a non issue. And people like you refuse to acknowledge the hypocrisy and double standard.
                            ... The liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
                            * Creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
                            * Satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
                            * Augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
                            * Rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government
