New COVID lockdowns around the world!

...US remains adamant about avoiding 2nd lockdown
Countries facing a resurgence of coronavirus cases after reopening have reverted back to lockdown, many focusing on isolating specific regions with spiking rates of infections. But the willingness to retighten restrictions amidst growing public health concerns stands in stark contrast to the U.S.' approach to a fresh wave of new cases.

Alternatively, you can stop being scared of some fake crisis and let us go on with our lives.

    Pathetic.

Nah, TX, FL and especially AZ are fine, just fine. AZ test positively rate was 33% yesterday, those are NYC in march levels of bad, but with more testing, so they're actually worse.

The CDC recommends keeping the test rate at 5% or less if you want the economy open. So thats really really bad.
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Testing positive does not equal having a case of Chy-na Virus.

The errors in the test lean toward false negatives, not false positives. If you show up positive, you're most likely infected.
Unless, of course, you are implying that there is some conspiracy to make people think there are more people sick than there actually is.

Yeah.... poorly worded on my part. So - if you test positive, it could easily be a false positive. If it is a true positive, you may have been exposed, but you are not displaying symptoms or passing on the contagion. You've just been exposed, no symptoms or passing it on. Also - the CDC is very concerned about false positives, and their web page suggests strongly that false positives are a big issue for them:

RE: the bolded part of your quote..... people that are spouting statistics "proving" a spike in the numbers are conflating testing positive with being actively sick. One does not equal the other..... but you know that.

Testing positive means nothing to me, unless you're actively experiencing the effects. I can almost guarantee that I would test positive, because at the outset I was traveling to and working in several hospitals and MOBs, in hot spots (So Cal, Nor Cal, Seattle, etc.) when it was estimated that the virus was here but wasn't being reported on. Yet, months later, my family and friends who I've been in physical contact with have not gotten so much as the sniffles.

I don't and will not wear a mask, and I still shake hands with people when proffered.

                  LOL

Hey guys keep the virus from spreading! Do whatever you can to prolong the spread so we can stay locked down forever.

Let the virus spread and burn itself out. Staying locked down does nothing beneficial.

Sooner or later a good majority of will get the damn bug. It's just a matter of when and how ones immune system handles it.

Wife and I fall into the "old folks" category with issues. Eventually one or both of us will get it, but it's our responsibility to take necessary precautions.

This whole debacle was to prevent "hospital overload"; we basically have done that.

No need for another shut down, if you fall into a susceptible category then use common sense, you are your own health care advocate. Be responsible.

                    Just an opinion.

                    Respectfully

I see what you mean. I'd be very interested to see whether you actually test positive or not, although it doesn't sound like you'd be willing to take the test.

Thank you fot seeing my perspective.

I'm curious about whether I'd test positive as well....... But not curious enough to risk getting on a contract testing list. No, thank you.

Probably a good thing since we're finding out the ventilators do more damage than good.
