I didn't see anything about the rally in the link. If you are asking what the incubation period is, I believe its 2-14 days with most people showing signs at day 4 or 5.

The whole two weeks thing was latched on to by the media and I have no idea why. It never was two weeks for most cases. I guess it was better for fear and that resulted in more viewers, so they kept saying it. Anything for those ratings.

I believe that now the accepted incubation is 3 to 5 days like any other cold. It can be as long as two weeks in unusual cases. There could even be a very small number that are longer.

I think it was more of a safe quarantine period rather than an incubation period. If you made it past 14 days with no symptoms and negative tests, you were considered clear.

You have to become infected, develop symptoms, become sick enough to want to get tested, get tested, whoever tested you has to report the data, and lastly the agency reported to has to publish the data. It can take yes 2 weeks more or less for new cases to show up in the data. The firefighters were infected well before the trump rally. So few people turned up to the rally that I don't think it'll have a large effect on Tulsa's numbers.

As for the protests, I definitely think they'll increase virus transmission, but they also coincided with the reopening of many parts of the country, so it'll be almost impossible to tease apart what caused the increase in cases.

While there were some older participants, the average age was probably 30 or so. Most people of that age will not be going to a hospital as they are very unlikely to get a serious illness. Some will of course, but not really that many.

The eye opening statistic for me is the 55% of deaths are patients in long term care facilities. I think that is higher than the flu even, but I'm still looking for studies that confirm that. Zero of those people were at a protest. Now I bet some of the employees or family members of employees of long term car facilities were at protests. The virus gets into the facilities through the people who work there in most cases.
