I am right about a few things...

People are consumed by fear. Here in my town of a few thousand no one has been wearing masks throughout this debacle. Now some reports appear how "Texas cases going up!" and _everyone_ is suddenly wearing masks.

One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. Let's take a big step back - place yourself on the moon and regard the Earth. Consider Covid.

[1] Compared to other causes of death, Covid is still a nothingburger. Worldwide we're at about 500k covid deaths. When divided into the 8 Billion population this is 0.00008. It's not even a drop in the bucket, it's a few molecules.
[2] Politicians are deciding what is "safe" or not. Good people decided to believe Dr Fauci and all the other experts. We stayed home, sheltered in place, obeyed the rules. Companies shut down, people wore masks, no more movies, no more beer, no eating out. Then came the artificially induced racial riots! All of a sudden scores of healthcare workers are signing up to support public gatherings, no matter what the size & density. Politicians are blessing this behavior. This point alone should cause everyone to wake up. This thing cannot be dangerous and safe at the same time.
[3] You're in much more danger of getting killed in your car than covid. Look it up.
[4] In the USA we didn't even come close to being overwhelmed by this disease. Hospitals didn't fill up, the field units were not used at all. Even today with reports of "2nd wave" we still have ample hospital capacity. The TX TMC shows about 2x surge capacity remaining. We are totally in the green here, we're not even in yellow let alone red. (link below)
[5] It's over in many places. Italy, once the horrific 'hot spot' that inspired the rest of the world to shut down, is now in the clear. In Sweden this virus has run its course.
[6] Millions will likely die due to the shutdown. This isn't being tracked anywhere because there is no money to be made nor power to be wielded. However, damage to the worldwide economy and disruptions to global supply chains will impact the poor disproportionately. Just google for "starvation due to covid."
[7] The media lies all the time. Why would they start telling the truth about the covid? Their mechanism of keeping you under control is fear. When was the last time you saw any good news about the covid? (ie. an article with the specific intent of showing how things are getting better)
[8] There is huge money involved. In the USA alone the government opened the public purse rather quickly and allocated Trillions for 'covid.' Hospitals get paid extra for covid patients, especially if they end up on a vent. Drug companies stand to get rich from covid treatments. It has been demonstrated that independent research and reporting is being actively shut down by the large pharmaceuticals.
[9] Tech Giants are censoring anyone with opposing views. Boot-on-the-ground videos from emergency rooms are being deleted. Interviews with medical personnel are removed. Authors are discredited. Freedom speech no longer exists.

    TX TMC status:
(provides perspective to all the recent media fearmongering)
Located in the heart of Houston, Texas Medical Center campus is home to leaders in research, medicine, and innovation in healthcare.

Charts like this, provided by our very own smashycrashy, will ensure that people never leave the home:
(unless of course you attend a riot, then you're immune, the virus is clever that way)

Well lets see, right off the bat - Auto Deaths vs Covid Deaths

2019 Auto Deaths were 38,800. Covid 19 Deaths are at 120,000 and thats over 4 months now. The number will likely hit 150k by fall and I could see 200k by end of the year.

Now on the Auto deaths, I'll weight them higher because not everyone drives. I'll add a factor of 1.47 based on drivers in the US as a population.

So if everyone drove that would push the numbers 57,000.
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Next. Its run its course in sweden.

Sweden Coronavirus update with statistics and graphs: total and new cases, deaths per day, mortality and recovery rates, current active cases, recoveries, trends and timeline.

Sweden may be past its peak (looking at deaths) but its certainly not run its course.

The it's over in many places is so ludicrously wrong. Name me one place that has hit 60% of the population infected to hit herd immunity? Sweden last serology study 3%-5% of population, so,they'll need 12x more death at least to hit herd immunity, Spain 5% 12x more deaths, italy northern region 20% 3x more, nyc 20% 3x more etc etc etc. No place on earth is anywhere near 60% of the population infected with covid-19. The worst hit places are only at 20% immunity, i.e. 80% of the population is still susceptible. In the US population wide spread < 3%, it's the only reason why our death rate is so "low".

Can herd immunity be achieved for the Flu or Corona viruses? No they cannot. Why are expecting this for Covid19?

Flu and coronaviruses have multiple strains that substantially mutate year to year. We actually do develop herd immunity towards flu, it's part of the reason why flu deaths drop as the flu season progresses. Problem is flu mutates very rapidly, so herd immunity is transitory. So far, Covid-19 hasn't mutated substantially, it's still basically a single strain. We better hope it doesn't mutate substaintally or those 100+ of vaccine candidates and billions of dollars invested in them will most likely become useless and pre-existing immunity from prior infection could go out the window.

                        Should he rephrase the question?

I don't care about the virus. Hey, I might die from it, that's ok. I have a much higher chance of dying when I drive to the taco shop to buy a California burrito today. I sure am looking forward to that burrito, I better eat it before I drive home just in case.
