    Vaccine timeline and recent interviews

I'm still seeing almost every expert saying no vaccine until 2021.

But then AstraZenica is still holding on to its September timeline.

British pharma giant AstraZeneca is "on track" to begin rolling out up to two billion doses of a coronavirus vaccine in September if ongoing trials prove successful, its chief executive said on Friday.

Now I recognize, the AstraZenica vaccine will be more of a Tamiflu like effect and won't necessarily stop infections based on trials, but it has the potential to drop the mortality rate substantially.

So do I assume the FDA will cause a hold up to Astra Zenica? Otherwise, in theory the UK will 60 million doses by the end of Sept. and the US gets 300 million by October....

Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

I'll reduce that lined article to three sentenceds.

We already have several of the vaccines today. What we do not have is the results of studies that answer the questions of safety or effectiveness. In addition there needs to be production capacity to make enough of it.

In the past these steps usually took about four years. AstraZenica is trying to do it in months instead of years. It is a huge business risk as they are spending millions producing a product that could be worthless if it does not work.

Right but they will have their final results in about 10 weeks. I just get the notion everyone is discounting them already.

The question is more about how the quality of the studies. Is this enough time to really get the data and due to some recent fraudulent data in unrelated studies, can you trust it. One worries when the study is funded by AstraZenica and if the results are positive they make many billions.

I actually think this is less of a worry for this vaccine over all the others.

For one its actually been developed over years so it isn't as rushed as others.

No sh*t. Every drug does. They're in Phase 1 now. Phase 2 follows, and then Phase 3.

They're making it now so that when it's approved, they have plenty.

What does that tell you about their confidence in it?
