    Blame Game Time

    1. Compared to what?
    2. At what cost?
    3. What hard evidence do you have?

    1. The current increase trend started as soon as 5/28 (using a 7 day rolling trend) so that likely means activity going back to the middle of the month is a factor. Basically protests should only now be starting to affect rates from now forward.
    2. Overall Texas may not be in such a bad state as the percentage of ppl testing having the virus continues to drop.

    3. They still have decent icu capacity.

If I were the governor, I would assess on Monday and see if they need to make changes.

Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Now I've not looked into the statistics But are the deaths actually going up or just people who have tested positive. Because that can be explained easily enough. Testing is now more widely available and in a lot of cities it's free. So that means more people will be tested and more will be positive Etc.

If the protest's don't change the infection rate - I'll give in and say it's a hoax.
No way all those people yelling didn't spread the virus in such close quarters - how you prove that is more difficult- Yes ,I realize some had masks but don't have any idea what percentage

As an addition - that "letter" sighed by 1200 "medical experts" is bull - if you actually read the names etc -you'll see many are just activists, students, etc
This is the "letter" saying that protesting is not a danger in reference to spreading the virus

Openings and protests are having the obvious effect that was predicted

I would say not. There are fluctuating in the low to high 20s per day. Of course deaths tend to lag.

Reopening and relaxing restrictions is inevitably going to cause an increase in cases. The magnitude of the increase is the only thing to really be concerned about. Now combine that with the protests.

But you're right. I've come to learn that Trump is to blame for every problem in the US.

It's not a simple dichotomy of stances. A lot of the people who oppose states reopening too early also oppose the riots. Most of the people rioting are probably ignorant about the current state of the pandemic and don't have a strong stance about it.

It sure seems to be this way.

The increase is rather odd however, there's a town out in the middle of nowhere that now has a shutdown but I haven't heard of any such thing down south where all the beaches are packed.

Someone here had a theory: staying indoors with the AC on is worse for you than being outside. Sounds legit to me.

Gotta admit making attendees sign a waver for the rally is funny
