Apparently Antifa and BLM intimidated covid into surrendering.

According to the CDC, the total flu and covid deaths are almost at the baseline level. The virus has all but quit in Italy. They have determined that it mutated into a less deadly strain. That is what normally happens with flu. It appears to be so here too.

There is no evidence of the virus mutating into a less deadly strain. No such evidence has been provided from Italy, and no such conclusion is formed in the CDC brief you just linked. The OP is misinformation.

Whether it does or it doesn't, that says nothing about any speculative beneficial mutation suddenly becoming dominant.

If that fact were true there would be very clear and unambiguous scientific evidence to support it. There is none. The claim is irresponsibly wrong.

I'll assume for sake of this discussion that everyone is now comfortable accepting evidence from the CDC.

The most informative, condensed chart in that brief is the one on Page 12, "% of Deaths due to Pneumonia, Influenza, or COVID-19." This does show the signal dropping quite a bit, at least through May 23rd.

So this is good news, but nothing here suggests it is due to a mutation. The best hypothesis is a mixture of (a) the most vulnerable already being accounted for and (b) sweeping societal changes having a marked impact on basic replication number. The same reasoning holds for Italy.

But it's also worth noting that, at its height, the signal was four times higher than background, and five times greater of an excursion than the 2018 influenza episode -- despite a vastly smaller number of potential spreaders. Since you all like these charts, you must therefore agree the potential is serious.

I hope we don't see an upward trend. Locally (LA county) and in several states we were already in one, though, and we very well might see it pick up even more. Keep watching. Science is patient.
