This isn't a hypothetical question. The CanSino Ad5 vaccine candidate is one of the front-runners, already entering Phase II trials.
However, I have some issues with this particular vaccine. The jump from Phase I to II is a bit unorthodox, and their results so far are not super impressive.
But to answer the question, it would depend on the data. If this particular vaccine doesn't improve in performance, I would pass. If it does, and if there are no competitive options, then sure, why not.Riflemen Needed.

Depends upon how transparent the Chinese are in publishing the data. If, it makes it through a phase III trial and showed high efficacy and low side effects and they were actually transparent with the data, then yes I would take a Chinese vaccine.Critical Thinking Skills:

YES! If the data is honest and it's effective.
I travel a lot. l go to a couple countries in Southeast Asia on business and vacation. I Adventure ride my motorcycles in many remote places/islands.
Their public healthcare system is not as advanced or trustworthy to have what it needed to combat COVID-19 symptoms. Even the private hospitals.
Now if I was 'stuck' in the good 'ol USA or in Europe, then I probably wouldn't bother with the vaccine, unless it got bad there.
I also do the annual flu vaccines. My immunization records are all up to date for my travels. Uncle Sam has injected all kinds of stuff into me growing up as a DOD dependent over seas. I aint skird of shots!Last edited by REDHORSE; 06-04-2020, 8:45 AM.Comment
