Face Mask For Use At The Range

I am looking forward to our range reopening soon and I would like to wear a mask for a while. I was thinking of getting one of the pull up half face masks, but I was wondering if they would be too hot and also fog my shooting glasses. I find the common 3M face masks fog up my glasses.

Anyone here have a mask suggestion that will not get too hot and fog glasses?

Unless you have a super tight fit around your nose, yes it will fog your glasses. Don't ask me how I know. Even in high temps the breath coupled with your sweat fogs your glasses. It is more important to wear the glasses IMO. Perhaps one with an exhalation valve will help with the breath.

I think the range has pretty good ventilation to keep you from inhaling lead dust, it should be ok to go there without a mask.

Tissue paper under the bridge might help, absorbs some moisture.

Many ranges will require masks. Especially indoor ranges.

Have you tried anti-fog on your glasses? Liquid dish soap worked on my snorkel mask when snorkeling, perhaps that will help here

There are anti-fogging treatments you can apply to the lenses of your range glasses. Not all work the same. Speedo makes a decent one for swimming goggles

You could also add a pair of motorcycling/ steampunk goggles to your range bags.

I actually started wearing a type of shooting goggle about two years ago. They came with wet wipes that were anti fog. Went to goggles after getting hot gas thrown in to my face by a mosin nagant. Regular glasses help but the gas still made its way around the glass and in to my eyes a bit. Wasn't pleasant.

The mask was for Covid-19, not lead. Our rifle building is small and the shooters are at close quarters.
