I'm surprised Dr's make the kind of money they do considering the number of people they kill......

"The constitutions of most of our States assert that all power is inherent in the people; that... it is their right and duty to be at all times armed."

you can take the pay over 12 months. it's the same healthy salary either way. private sector boss would tell us we can take the rest of our lives off with no pay.

Or wait...we only work 6 months? WTF?

how about 8.5-9 months? that's a hell of a vacation.

Private schools are better? Cool, they don't pay much...which is why those working for private schools who can pass the required exams leave for public schools.

people always want a better deal. the private schools do well and stay staffed. sounds like the free market is a better bang for the buck if your concern is education. for public school job security and union protections are huge as well. do they even have "rubber rooms" in the private systems?

We get our benefits when we retire...nope, not a single one, we're on our own.

STOP confusing Cal Pers with Cal STRS...we don't get our salary...I'll get 43% if I make it 28 years.

yes no healthcare but the pension is much better than any non union deal in the private sector. teachers that started by the early 2000s have a higher paid pension. you started late or will retire early. newer teachers still have a great pension deal.

My wife and I are working constantly from home...she normally started at 8 and got home about 3...now its 7 to 4-5pm.

Same for me including 3 hours on bot Saturday and almost 5 hours Sunday helping kids.

yes the teachers who care are putting in more hours than ever. that's still a small minority of them. why isn't the union enforcing a high standard?

You realize NOTHING they do during the lock down can lower their grade?

yup and the karens will probably get their kids grades manipulated up.

I'm glad almost half my kids still want to learn. Most have said F*** IT.

of the ones who want to learn i bet most of those kids have parents that are involved in their education.

I can address any of the asinine misconceptions a few of you have...

Yes we make decent money... more in California than other states...why?

democrat payback for union support. there is a reason that democrap states pay teachers well and it is't because of the great results. that said nobody is going to turn feral kids with absentee parents into solid students.

My son is home from college because of the C-19 BS... he graduates this week...his first job offer is starting at 20K more than I make now...

I have 2 degrees in Bio and Chem... he has one. Yeah I've done 22 years and he'll start at more than I make. We're paid too much.

      you can always apply too.

      F'in teacher's...the ruin of America.
      at least be honest
