Watch what you say online/ gun seizure

In this country, you are still allowed to believe crazy things but posting those thoughts online may be used against you.

Oh my God, the Freakers around here must be thrilled by this. The Freakout must not be questioned.
Dr. Goldstein showed us the way. We dropped the ball. Pick up the ball.

He was a prohibited person who was denied an ammo purchase, posted online that he was going to take things into his own hands, and ranted when the police and a shrink showed up. Based on this very incomplete picture it might have been justified. If he was ordered by the DUI court to surrender all firearms and he was found in possession, that alone will be a significant problem for him.

Im not arguing that the seizure wasnt justified, just another reminder that what you post online can come back to bite you in the rear.

The rule is don't post anything you would not want to be brought into evidence in court. Anything you write can't be excluded unless the govt broke your 4th amendment right securing it. That doesn't apply to forum postings as they are assumed public.

If he'd said "MEDIA" conspiracy, or, "democrap" conspiracy, not only would he have been fine; he'd of ALSO been, correct.

And I think the LAST part got him in the BIGGEST trouble.

A prohibited person ranting and raving how he was going to take matters into his own hands? Don't think it was about conspiracy theories.
^^^The above is just an opinion.

I'll take that as a warning to not be a crazy person. But it's also a good reminder that there are people out there who soak up the nonsense conspiracy garbage and get wigged out.

Like the load of hardheads on ammo sale forum selling 1,000's of rounds of ammo with no regard to 500 per 30 days rule. I wonder how many are on doj radar. Even after a heads up they still keep posting.

If only intelligence was a requirement.

Not a firearm but my father in law has a stun gun that he just left lying around somewhere. My daughter who I think was 7 at the time found it and hid it to keep him from doing something stupid with it. Never been seen since.

I read some crazy posts on CG but I just figure it’s probably a government agent trying to get someone to bite. Big GOV fishing expeditions.

This seems more accurate than just some rando posting anti-gov stuff & getting popped for it. If THAT were the case, most of CG would be gone.

                              From the article:

The man was taken into custody and placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold. He is on probation for a drunk driving conviction, and not allowed to own guns until 2025, according to police.
Honestly sounds more like a probation violation than anything.....
